The song started as a rehearsal song called "Medicine Sunday".

Bob Dylan has never played it live in concert, and it is the only track from “Blonde On Blonde” not to have been played by him in tour rehearsals.

This is the last post in this series. Most are not covers but original versions by The Byrds themselves; see details hereunder.

Tracks 1, 2 and 3, which are covers, were not released as Byrds tracks in the first place but as by Roger McGuinn on his eponymous first post-Byrds LP (track 1) and as by Gene Clark on the 1973 Holland only “Roadmaster” LP (tracks 2 and 3). But all 3 feature the original lineup of McGuinn, Clark, Crosby, Clarke and Hillman, so I included them here.

No covers found for the rest of the tracks, so these are the original tracks.

Tracks 4, 5 and 6 were recorded before they were called The Byrds, under The Jet Set and The Beefeaters monikers.

Tracks 7 to 14 are instrumentals for which no cover versions are known to exist.

Track 15 is the famous “Milestones”, known to have only been played live once in 1967 at The Fillmore West in San Francisco by the McGuinn/Hillman/Clarke trio lineup. It was the middle part of a “My Back Pages / Milestones / Baby What You Want Me To Do” medley.

Track 16 is “Milestones” by The Byrds, as recorded in the studio, from a TV documentary, with narration.

Track 17 is the original version of “Milestones” by Miles Davis.

Actually, the LP is credited to Gene Clark, Chris Hillman, David Crosby, Roger McGuinn and Michael Clarke and the title is Byrds.

Since I first posted this album months ago, I have found cover versions for track #6 (Things Will Be Better) by The Chris Hillman Band and for track #9 (Borrowing Time) by Marc Ellington. So this is a new version of the zip file, with tracks #6 and #9 replaced and artwork adapted.
